About

I study old systems and try to build better ones.

Schools, investing, wealth management, real estate, career paths, capital markets, and community spaces all have a lot of inherited assumptions. I am interested in what should be improved, what should be rebuilt, and what should be created from scratch.

Current focus

AI, education, real estate, investing, and community.

My work sits across entrepreneurship, AI, education, real estate, investing, and wealth management. Before this chapter, I worked in real estate private equity and taught Algebra I through Teach For America in New Orleans.

The common thread is not a single industry. It is a kind of problem: human stakes, complicated incentives, room for better tools, and the chance to make people's lives a little more useful, connected, or alive.

Education

Novo Prep is the main expression of this right now: an AI-forward school model built around personalization, mastery, project-based learning, and real human connection.

Investing

My real estate and investing work has made me care about underwriting, long-term ownership, investor communication, governance, and decision systems that hold up under uncertainty.

Community

I am drawn to businesses that create real-world belonging, not just digital engagement. Las Rocas is the clearest example: climbing, fitness, recovery, and community under one roof.

Writing

Writing is where I stress-test the ideas before they harden into plans. The goal is not to sound certain. It is to make the argument clear enough that the weak spots show themselves. Most new essays live on Substack.
